Photo 19 May 12 notes Ok, this irritates me on many levels. There are so many things wrong with this…
1. Nicki has not come out and said that she is gay. You can’t just assume that about people. She said at some point, addressing her sexuality, “people always want to define me and I don’t want to be defined.” She may be straight, gay, or bisexual. We don’t know at this point. And we shouldn’t assume.
2. What do you mean she isn’t supporting gay marriage? One of the first magazine covers she ever did was for Out Magazine. And she embraces her Ken Barbz at every chance. She is one of the most (if not THE most) gay-friendly rapper in the game. Just because she’s not at rallies doesn’t mean she’s not making a difference. Simply being accepting of everyone is setting an example for her fans and society to live by.
3. She’s not using her gay fans. She happens to have a lot of gay fans. So what? She loves them the same. I don’t see how she would be using them, since she treats them the same as her other fans.
Gay, strait, bisexual, trans*, etc., a barb is a barb.

Anonymous asked: why did nicki paid her fans for

She chose three fans to come up on stage and rap with her. Then, she paid them for doing it (because it takes balls).

Everyone’s going nuts because one of Nicki’s fans dissed Lil Kim. But the thing is Nicki didn’t know she was going to do that. And she would have paid her either way.

Wow. We’re going to judge Nicki based on what ONE FAN said?
If we judged Lil Kim based on what one of her fans said, she wouldn’t be selling any records! … oh wait.

queen-bee-sting reblogged your photo: I be laffin I be laffin oooo I be dyin

Is it true that Nicki paid a fan to diss Kim?

Yep

Actually, she paid her to get up on stage and rap Nicki’s song, “Come on a Cone.” The girl decided to blatantly diss Lil Kim. Notice the girl also said “when you see me with Nicki,” instead of “when you see me on Ellen,” so she changed a few of the lyrics. Nicki didn’t pay her to change the lyrics. But obviously, Kim’s fans (some of them, at least) are being immature about it and speaking out of their asses. Nicki paid all three of the people who got up on stage, and the two others did not diss Lil Kim.

Nicki sweetheart…that’s not nice

The thing is, though, Nicki can express herself in her rap without having to carry it over into her real life. And she only made these songs AFTER other people attacked her. Also, if you look at each song within context, they are much more focused on being confident with who you are as a person. She’s not getting in people’s faces and shouting this at them. She’s not even saying this shit in interviews (unlike somebody else we know…)
